A service-account or delegated Workspace connection lists configured folders, fingerprints files, and converts new or moved files into package candidates. Gmail intake turns attachments into source documents. Generated reports in the same folder are classified as outputs, not new sources.
Real scenario
A loan operations team sets a shared Drive folder.
Every file placed there is visible in the workspace as a candidate package. Existing generated reports are ignored, so credits are not spent re-processing outputs.
